Pippinfest

Last weekend in September
​Main Street Fairfield
The Pippinfest is an annual street festival held the last full weekend in September.
  • Saturday - over 30 yard sales throughout Fairfield as well as craft vendors on Main Street. 
  • Sunday - live music entertainment as well as approximately 100 craft and retail vendors.
Both days feature lots of food vendors and the Kids’ corner for children of all ages with petting zoo, games, and rides. Come hungry and eat your way from one end of town to the other.

Ross Hetrick Portrays Thaddeus Stevens
at the Village Hall

Ross Hetrick is the president of the Thaddeus Stevens Society, a non-profit organization he founded in 1999 to promote the legacy of Thaddeus Stevens, one of the most important political figures of the American Civil War era. Hetrick has played Stevens for twenty years and at the April 18, 2019 meeting of the Fairfield Area Historical Society, 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall, he will portray Stevens talking about the Maria Furnace in Fairfield and the effort to build the "Tapeworm" railroad in the 1830s.
